A current trend in the blogosphere consists of assigning nicknames to people commonly mentioned in blog posts. I really like the idea in how it supports my anonymity, but I have one major problem with this practice. I often cannot figure out who/what the nicknamed person is based on the context of one entry. Thus, I’ve created this page as a quick reference with brief descriptions of those people I’ve chosen to nickname.
I am the Veterinary Student and this is my blog. My boyfriend fiance is the Captain and he is a flight instructor several hundred miles away from my veterinary school. We’ve been together since our sophomore year of high school and I consider him to be one of the few constants in my life.
I sit between Left-Side Friend and Right-Side Friend in class. We’ve been seatmates since the beginning of our first year of veterinary school, and I’m pretty sure we’ll be seatmates until the bitter end. They’re my favorite classmates and two of my best friends.
My Best Friend is someone I’ve known since the first day of my undergraduate career. She is a newlywed and so I now have a Best-Friend-in-Law (BFiL). Best Friend is a year ahead of me in veterinary school and so she is one person I can always go to when I want to rant.
